  • Prepare various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns (1040s, 1041s, 1065s, 1120s), as well as tax extensions and projections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Organize and manage tax information and documentation efficiently to support timely tax filings.
  • Assist with tax notices, examinations, and audits under the guidance of senior staff, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Perform tax research projects to stay current with tax regulations and monitor financial information for discrepancies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of tax software used in the office to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred for advanced knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in tax preparation.
  • General knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including corporate, individual, trust, gift, and partnership taxation, to handle diverse tax scenarios.
  • CPA eligibility preferred, demonstrating commitment to the profession.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
