Description

Join a dedicated team as an Elementary School Based Therapist, delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions including individual, family, and group therapy. The position involves working closely with children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, providing essential support during their school day. You will conduct intakes and assessments, document progress, and collaborate with both internal and external providers to ensure comprehensive care for your clients.

  • Provide individual and group therapy to elementary-aged children, utilizing trauma-informed care techniques.
  • Conduct thorough intakes and diagnostic assessments for new clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic services and updates to individual service plans (ISPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to coordinate care and support for children.
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to program development and improvement efforts.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active LSW or LPC licensure in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of experience in providing counseling and psychotherapy to children and families, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong commitment to supporting children's emotional and behavioral health.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check prior to employment.
