Summary

An experienced CNC Mill Setup Machinist is needed to lead and perform advanced setup operations for CNC machines. This position is responsible for programming, adjusting, and operating mill equipment while supporting junior operators and ensuring high-quality part output. Candidates must demonstrate precision, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and production standards.

Description

Set up and program CNC mills with precision and adherence to safety standards. Guide and mentor operators and apprentices on milling processes. Inspect first-run parts and ensure adherence to international quality standards. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and update machining parameters. Maintain thorough documentation and shift continuity logs. Keep workstations organized and compliant with 6S standards. Perform tool changes, rework, and part verification as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
  • Strong understanding of G & M code programming
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measurement tools
  • Intermediate math skills, including algebra and trigonometry
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet production goals
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Leadership qualities and willingness to support team development
