Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Foster Care Social Worker to manage a caseload of children and families in need of support. This role involves conducting assessments, providing mental health services, and coaching parents and foster families. Description

As a Foster Care Social Worker, you will work primarily in the community, engaging with families, children, and foster parents to provide essential support and guidance. Your responsibilities will include assessing the needs of children, creating and implementing service plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with three days in the field and two remote workdays.

  • Conduct intakes and assessments for children entering the foster care system.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with families and treatment teams.
  • Provide parenting skills coaching to biological and foster families based on evidence-based practices.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis support for children in foster care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
  • Attend court hearings and advocate for the best interests of the children.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field; LSW or LPC licensure in good standing required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with required auto insurance coverage.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social work or a related field, preferably with children and families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed documentation.
