Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Middle School Based Therapist to deliver therapeutic services to students in a school environment. This role involves providing mental health support to children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Description

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to middle school students. Your day-to-day tasks will involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with educators and parents to ensure comprehensive support for each child. You will also engage in regular documentation to track progress and maintain compliance with applicable standards.

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, utilizing trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Conduct comprehensive intakes and diagnostic assessments for new clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans (ISPs) based on assessed needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic services provided.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external providers to coordinate care and support for students.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related field; active LSW or LPC licensure required.
  • 1-3 years of experience providing counseling and psychotherapy to children and families, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children and adolescents.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain organized documentation.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check prior to employment.
