Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Residential Therapist to provide therapeutic services in a dual diagnosis treatment setting. This role involves working with adults facing mental health and substance use challenges. The ideal candidate will develop individualized treatment plans, facilitate group therapy, and support clients through their recovery journey.

Description

As a Residential Therapist, you will work at a 12-bed recovery residence that serves adults with co-occurring mental health and addiction issues. Your role includes providing trauma-informed care and individualized therapy while collaborating with other staff members to ensure comprehensive support for residents. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing for various shifts to meet client needs.

  • Conduct individual assessments to establish diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate daily group therapy sessions and provide individual therapy as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the designated EMR system.
  • Establish trusting relationships with clients and their families to promote engagement in treatment.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate care and address client needs effectively.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations.
  • Develop transition plans for clients to ensure ongoing support after discharge.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
  • Current state licensure (LMHC, LSW, LCSW, LCAC) or eligibility for temporary license within 45 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and addiction treatment practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Comfort in working with diverse populations, including clients of all genders.
  • Previous experience in residential or community-based settings is preferred.
